The nomination process for the Presidential Awards is now open-a $10,000
recognition of excellence!!  This year, science and math teachers in
grades K-6 with at least 5 years of experience (public or private
school) are eligible to apply.  So, please nominate an excellent
teacher-including YOURSELF!

Nominate outstanding teachers for the Presidential Award for Excellence
in Mathematics and Science Teaching! This award honors exemplary K-12
mathematics and science teachers for their contributions to improving
teaching and learning. The application deadline for elementary teachers
is May 1, 2008. (Secondary teachers are eligible to apply in 2009.) For
