Dear Educator,
I'm writing regarding a free puzzler service for your fellow New Mexico
Science Teacher Association members. The National Science Teachers
Association has posted links to our puzzler services on NSTA.org, and we
exhibited at the NSTA National Conference in St. Louis where 450 teachers
lined up to sign up for our free puzzlers.
The teacher feedback has been wonderful, and many teachers suggested that we
contact the individual organizations, because you have more grass-roots
power to reach other teachers and may want to make them aware of our
service.
Our company publishes the 27-time award winning "Cogno" science games and
books (www.cogno.com). We provide free weekly science and multi-subject
puzzlers by email, for grades 3-8. The puzzlers inspire critical thinking
and learning in astronomy, forces & motion, and life sciences.
Each week, teachers receive an e-mail with new 1-page puzzlers, ready to be
photocopied for students. An answer key is included, so no specialized
expertise or extra work is required by the teacher.* *For information,
examples, or to sign up for free Cogno puzzlers, see www.cogno.com/puzzlers*
.*
Note: Cogno's Challenge science content was expert-reviewed by scientists
at NASA and the SETI Institute.
*Would you please consider posting the following paragraph in your
newsletter or website, or emailing it to your members? *
*Free Weekly Science Puzzlers: *Each week, share with your students a
FREEthought-provoking science puzzler, drawn from the award-winning
Cogno
science board games. You'll receive a weekly e-mail with a fully illustrated
one-page puzzler about astronomy, forces & motion and/or life sciences,
ready to be photocopied for students. The e-mail message includes the answer
and explanation, allowing you to facilitate as much or as little discussion
as you like. Recommended for grades 3-8. For information, samples, and to
register, see *www.cogno.com/puzzlers*.
*Why free? Cogno's mission is to "inspire children to think critically and
imaginatively." This mission is at the root of every effort we make, and
these puzzlers are part of our effort to further our mission and help raise
awareness for Cogno.*
Thanks so much!
