You are invited:
The National Atomic Museum will host the exhibition Atomic Art: Selections from the Permanent Collection, opening August 16, 2008. This temporary exhibit demonstrates how a wide variety of artworks can be created in response to the same political topic. Artworks on display both record and respond to the atomic era. The exhibit includes paintings by Hal Olsen and Reggie Behl (both local artists), lithographs by Erik Nitsche, political cartoons by Pulitzer-prize winner Bruce Russell, and others. The newly acquired triptych Ancient Inquiry, Contemporary Inquiry, Future Inquiry by New Mexico painter Edward Gonzales is also featured; Gonzales will be on hand to sign prints of his works.
Hope you'll stop in!
