Sandia National Labs is sponsoring an annual scholastic essay program for high school students: The Write Thing To Do Essay Competition. Students compose up to a 750 word essay on one of four questions in the areas of science, engineering and mathematics. The top five essays are each awarded a $2000.00 U.S. Savings Bonds. Scientists and engineers at Sandia National Laboratories judge the essays. The essay contest is open to all high school students in grades 10 to 12 in Albuquerque, Belen, Bernalillo, Los Lunas, and East Mountains areas.
